Since it started publishing in 1992, The Bluecoat Press has established a reputation for high quality books of local interest. Owner Colin Wilkinson was previously involved in establishing Liverpool’s Open Gallery and other creative businesses in the city.
Initially specializing in publishing historical photographs, The Bluecoat Press has expanded into other areas, including architecture, sport and tourism. In 1998, it published its first volume of Tom Slemen’s Haunted Liverpool series and has recently completed its 28th book with the ever-popular writer.
Over 200 books have been published in its eighteen years, including titles for clients including National Museums Liverpool, Northwest Development Agency and Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. Submissions from authors are always welcome but please email first with a brief synopsis of your book.
