The Troubles documents Northern Ireland in the 1970s and 1980s. Chris Steele-Perkins visited Belfast in 1978 to capture the everyday lives of those who had been caught in the violence there. This has become a classic series of images due to their brutal nature. As well as black and white images of the streets, the violence and the quotidian moments that happened in between, the book contains a series of interviews with subjects that appear within its pages, conducted 40 years later.
