Liverpool

Bluecoat Press has published many books about Liverpool, covering subjects as diverse as architecture and the arts, sport, food, transport, mythology and autobiography. We are not looking to add new titles to the current list, although this might be reviewed in 2015.

By way of introduction, I am an English/Australian living in Melbourne.
I am currently writing a ‘coffee table’ style of book – the Story of Liverpool and will be visiting Liverpool in March.

I note your web site states you may not be considering publishing any more books this year. Is this the case?

I would be interested to hear if you may be able to assist me with publishing.
    best wishes,
    kate

    Hi Kate,

Sadly, nothing has changed to convince me that there is a big enough market for Liverpool books. The book trade is in retreat and there are not enough outlets to encourage me to take undue risks.
Good luck – but I would proceed with caution. Try to find a publisher before you commit too much time.

    Regards.

    Hi Kate

If you get time when you are in Liverpool pop over the River and visit the Heart of Egremont Community Centre for a cuppa and a chat…my husband was in the Atlantic Skiffle group………..in 1956 He was told to stop playing his guitar and singing to me, or he would get thrown over the side of the ferry boat

The same ferry boat still pases my house every hour…I was lucky to move here after a wonderful 12 years spent in Melbourne

My phone number is 0151 691 1871 and the centre number is 0151 6394441

    Regards Ann

    Hi Robert,

The books were published by the author Paul Bolger. I imagine they are no longer available but try http://www.abebooks.com – they are a good site for remainder books.
