Another Bluecoat offer: two great paperbacks for the price of one.
My mission is to make sure Bluecoat Press survives the current crisis so that it will be in secure position to continue with its British social documentary project. With most of this year’s plans on hold, I have decided that the best way forward is to reduce my current stock at bargain prices. This way you get books at a great price and Bluecoat Press lives to carry on with its mission.
This offer is for books by two legendary photographers – Jim Mortram and Paul Trevor.
Small Town Inertia was published to glowing reviews in 2017. It was the culmination of seven years intensive work photographing the lives of people in his community who, through physical and mental problems and a failing social security system, faced isolation and loneliness in their daily lives. It is a remarkable and timely body of work – a firm rebuttal of damaging government welfare policies and their well-used rhetoric that ‘we are in this together’.
Like You’ve Never Been Away – Paul Trevor came to Liverpool in December 1974, one of three members of the Exit group, who were collaborating on a project to document inner city deprivation in Britain and people’s responses to it. Paul stayed in the city for six months and created a remarkable body of work that was shown to great acclaim at the city’s Walker Art Gallery in 2011 (the show recorded over 50,000 visitors – their most successful photographic exhibition).
